Mobility Connector

Get GroupWise e-mail, calendars, and contacts on your mobile device (excluding Blackberry®) in real time with Mobility Connector.

What you need to have Mobility Connector on your device

  • you must be a current NIU employee or retiree
  • your device must have an operating system like Android, iOS, Palm, or Windows Mobile
  • you must have a data plan

Some HTC devices don't work with Mobility Connector. If you have issues connecting, download Touchdown Exchange from the App store.
Samsung Continuum does not work with Mobility Connector yet. 

Register your device

Go to  E-mail Services > GroupWise Mobility form

After you submit the form, you will receive registration confirmation and setup instructions via e-mail. Connect within 10 days or your Mobility Connector registration will be canceled.

The Mobility Connector can sync your mail, calendar, and address book, but your device determines what will sync. Look in your device manual for details.

Now that you're registered

When mail, calendar entries, and address book changes are delivered to your GroupWise mailbox, they show on your device right away. Likewise, when you make changes on your device, they show in your GroupWise mailbox.

NOTE: Change your NIU password when you are notified that it is expiring. Change the password on your device at the same time. You will not get e-mail on your device until you do.
